Week 09 Is not it weird? I have been writing a blog every single week for nine weeks, but it does not feel like that long. Family relations is a very interesting class that I decided to take because I thought it might be fun. When I see behind, when I was choosing this class, I see a guy with hardly any idea of relationships. Even though I had a bad experience with relations, I had something present and it was that relationships need communication. This is fascinating because we talked about it in this week’s class. Communication is an important feature in every relationship because couples usually come from different backgrounds, and the body language is different. I remember I heard this story about a young marriage, the husband was late for work. It was very early in the morning, and his wife was completely asleep. He thought “because I love her, I will not wake her up. She needs to sleep.” When he came back from work, the wife was mad at him, she said: “I can’t believe that yo...

Week 08 Why is money so important and why it usually gets in the middle of a marriage? Back in the days of Moses, he went to the pray to the mountain. When he was there, all his people started to build a golden calf to adore. These types of things are called pagan gods. My mom used to say that now on days we might not have any pagan god, but what we do have is money. Money is an important thing in today’s world, but for other people, money is the most important thing. People can murder or even suicide for money. Sadly, disagreement for money represents 41% of the cause of divorces in young couples and 29% in old marriages. Is money that important to finish a marriage built-in love? Apparently, money Is stronger than love. It is true that money can buy so many things, and having it is cool. But, having money does not compensate for the fact of being alone. Money is not only a motive of divorce, but it is also a cause of delaying marriage. There are many couples with almost none savi...

Week 07 Another week, another dollar, or another grade? This week has been crazy because of all the topics that we went through. We were basically talking about marriage and sex. You will see that it is an interesting topic to talk about in a religious school because it has become a taboo. And there are other things that sadly became a taboo too because people do not feel comfortable talking about. Although sex is really important to build a marriage, people do not usually talk about it at all. Anyways, Brother Williams started talking about this and there are some points that I would like to go through with you guys. The most important thing to highlight is that sex is not a taboo, and it should not be one. Sex is sacred, but not secret. Sex works for so many different things from fun and unifies the couple, until creating other human beings like us. Can sex be for fun? Of course! Sex is essential to build a marriage and to make the couple more unified. Do you guys remember on...

Week 06 Isn’t it weird that we are already halfway through this journey? Brother Williams has been a good person that has led not only me, but the whole class into this knowledge and has begun preparing us for dating, marriage, and everything relating to it. Last week, we learned about dating and how to have a healthy serious relationship. This week, we learned about marriage and all the "tricks" for having a good marriage. Do you know that wedding costs 20k USD on average? Isn’t that crazy? Well, there are some families that can afford it, but what about those that cannot afford it? There are 3 ways for them to have a reception. They can ask the parents for money. However, when you ask your parents for money then you will feel obligated as if you owe them a debt. This debt is not money-related, but it would be more like a favor. Maybe the wedding should be themed a certain way the parent wants or them having a heavy influence on small decisions made about the we...
